Message As far as I know with the Z32 you can only adjust timing with the CAS, right? I'm about 95% sure the timing marks were all correct on their respective sprockets. I'm not sure what you mean by checking the timing, but I did not adjust the CAS during my work. I'm thinking the lifters are just stuck because the car has only run 30 seconds in the past two months. Part of this work was rebuilding the lifters, filling them with oil, then putting them back in the car (never letting them turn upside down after being filled). I think I am running 10w-30 castrol edge synthetic and I am a already a fan of MMO, you don't have to tell me to use that twice, haha.
For the timing though, I really am not sure what you are saying. I believe all the timing marks were placed correctly on their respective sprockets. The crankshaft sprocket did not move while installing the belt as the car was in fifth the whole time. After the belt was installed we put the car in neutral and cranked it around about 7 or 8 times. I do not believe we left it back at the exact same spot we started cranking it at.
